  1. dont f**king swear.

    be confident

make the audience p**s thereself with laughter

talk like your talking to your mates

    play lots of music

    dont talk over the track

    dont be really cheesy

    tell good jokes

and dont imitate any other DJ- just be you.

  2. be interesting, have a personality

    don't dry up

  3. -Make sure you're close to the mic, a common mistake people who are new to radio presenting make is that they stay a distance away from the mic. You have to be close to it.

-If you mess up, whether it's pronouncing something wrong or forgetting words, laugh. The listeners will most likely be laughing with you. Not many people enjoy listening to radio when the presenter takes themselves too seriously.

-You're going to have to mention the same things after every song or break. If you're laughing at a joke that you've previously told, either before a break or song, you will have to say it again. Assume everyone has just tuned in. You'll have do some summarising of these things.

-Most importantly, become familiar with your producer and the people working around you. They will be able to help you, and in order to keep the show going smoothly you have to know how they work too so there's no clashes.

    Good luck!
