I'm getting my contacts in a week. My eye physician will talk to me about how to use my contacts, but I just want to see what I have to look forward to. Do you know any tips, or details on how to take care of them?

  1. Don't rub your eyes because that us when your lens will move and end up in a different part of your eye or end up falling out.  Wash your hands before you put them in or take them out. Don't be scared to put them in or otherwise it will be harder to do it.

  2. They do explain everything, but make sure absolutly every night you take them out!  Also make sure you know which way they go in, they can go in backwards and that can cause discomfort.  Other than that everything is pretty easy.  If it ever falls out and you don't have solution put them in water, you do not want them to dry out!

  3. put them on one at a time.  and i mean, first open the left one, wash and put that in, close that and then do the right one.

you don't want to put them in the wrong eye, believe you me.

also, carry re-wetting drops so if they get dry/uncomfortable you can nip that in the bud.

also be sure to wash your hands really well before and after you do it.
