Do 720p rips look bad on a 1080p HDTV?

I am just wondering since I have this tivo setup on my pc and all my shows are broadcast in 720p......

nope.., it just doesn't looks as sharp as 1080 rips only.

but overall, still better than DVD rip.

Unless the TV is much larger than 50" you shouldn't be able to see much of a difference unless you really look hard. They certainly won't look bad though.
