I was about to clean my acf tank, I usually scope out the spots where he pooped so I know what to move around. Well when I went to clean it they p**p was gone. Now I'm not sure if its my HOB filter helping me out(cause its not very good but...decent) or if my frogs eating his waste and if he is....is that healthy?

  1. No, acfs do not eat their own waste.

  2. Usually a healthy animal will not eat its own waste. What i think may have happened to the fecal matter is this: It either got lost in substrate or it was pushed and scattered all over the tank, making it less noticeable.

If you do actually WITNESS the frog eating its own waste you might want to try switching foods/cleaning the tank REALLY well/or if it continues to look to a reptile vet.
