I could swear that I had watched a show a few years ago on discovery or something about this. On the show it had an african tribesman that would hunt an Impala or wildebeest by chasing it over a long distance. After so many miles the animal collapsed from exhaustion. Does anyone know where I can find more info on this?

  1. i watched the same documentary .the man was a bushman and the animal was a cudu . it seems that humans have an advantage over long distances due to their posture (standing up makes the sun heat less of your body) and to the fact that we have many sweat glands

  2. uh... i think they would shoot it with something,... why waste all that time just running after it?

  3. actually no. Africans shoot the animals with an arrow that has poison on its tip. then they will catch it when it is poisoned.
