  1. I seriously doubt that they have horse stalls. Due to the fact it is an air force base

  2. very few military installations have stables.  Miramar  MCAS does.  But that's the only one I know of for sure.

  3. Our base does.

But not all bases do. and they charge you rent for the stall and climate control. few bases have them, it depends on the climate.

you will have to sign a contract to the building to give them permission to care for your horse in the event of an emergency. you may only keep him/her there for a certain amount of time until you rent or own property in the area that can house your horse.

  4. YES!

There are over 70 military facilities that offer Riding Clubs, Horse Stables, and/or Equestrian Programs throughout the United States for military members and their families.

Horse Programs and / or Boarding Facilities can be found on Army Posts, and Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps Bases.

Check out MilitaryStables.com for the complete list.

    Thanks and enjoy!

  5. They must have! John Wayne was in the USAF` or was it the marines! no it might have been the navy! or was it the army?

  6. Depends on the base.

    Kirtland did, Moody did not

  7. Yes, some do, but not very many.

There is no list, where you can see all the bases that do have horse stables.

You would have to search base by base.

  8. Here at Hill AFB, UT -- we do. You can store your wonderful horse on base for a fee

  9. Some of these answers are just stupid.

Yes, some bases absolutely do have stalls.  They call them "Sand and Spur" clubs.  You'd have to check with each base to see if they have them available.  Our base (Eglin) does have a Sand and Spur.  I've been told the rates are extremely reasonable.

  10. It's an airforce base, not a farm. They have hangars.

  11. AIR...FORCE

    can horses fly?

  12. When I served overseas, we had a rather large unit with  mounted patrols in the military police. On certain days, you could rent by the hour to ride if you wanted to. I don't believe they ever allowed boarding  of any kind. People in the military have a tendency of moving a lot, and a horse might be something hard to travel with.

  13. I don't think that they would. Maybe a couple of them. But as far as I know I don't think so. So when do you ship to BMT, if you are going?

  14. Depends / The two Air Force Installations that I was stationed at (Elmendorf AFB, Alaska / Hill AFB, Utah) both had horse stables where military personnel could board their horses.  The stables were operated by the Services Organization.

  15. Some Air Bases do have stables. Go to their web site and check.

  16. no you will have to look for a place that you can keep your horse near base
