Do Al Sharpton and Pat Robertson look ridiculous on the new global warming commercial?

Have you seen it? I can't find the link, but it was on 60 minutes last week. Pat Robertson sounds like a demented old transient drunk, and he's sitting next to Al Sharpton on a bench at the beach (appropriate setting). You almost expect to see a brown paper bag swaying around in one of their hands.

Is this good for the GW campaign? I'm sure it helps the religious right get on board, but man, the rest of the crowd looks at that and must be holding back laughter, I know I was (ok, I wasn't trying to hold it back though LOL).

Ridiculous or not, Pat Robertson has a huge following and did run for President as a Republican in the 1988 election (beating then incumbent George H.W. Bush in the Iowa caucus).  Given that many of those unconcerned or uninformed about global warming are from the Republican religious right, he may have an impact.

I've only seen a different commercial and I thought it was very well done.  Come January 2009, we'll start to see the US taking some serious steps to address the problem of global warming.  I'm confident in technological innovations (some private, some funded by governments) keeping us from any of the worst-case scenarios.

well pat robertson always looks ridiculous, and al sharpton isnt much better, but i appreciate it all the same, i hope Al Gore's efforts will be rewarded

(and i dont mean for him, i mean for the world, while i have no problem with him getting awards, i'm more concerned with this helping the world)

They were ridiculous before hand... Global Warming, religion, and politics, what more could a man ask for?
