Do Albuquerque NM public schools get funding for registered home schooled students?

  1. I have yet to find ANY public school which gets funding for home-educated students; registered or not.

    In NM, you only have to notify the STATE superintendent of your intent to homeschool and list the district in which you live.  You are not even required to notify your local district of anything.  

    Although you must register, your registration in no way means money for your local district.  However, you will still pay taxes to your local district for education while you also pay for your own child's education just as a parent does who sends their child to private school.
