Do All Sports In HD Have The Filmic Effect?

I watched the FA Cup yesterday on BBC HD and it had that filmic look, I switched to the German channel Premier HD and it was showing a match again it had that filmic look, For me its very off putting, For those who don't know what I mean by filmic effect its what happened to Neighbours when it changed to CH5

I don't know what tv u using but my Sony lcd picture quality when i was watching the fa cup final on BBC HD was fantastic and it always is a fantastic picture when ever i watch anything in HD.It could even be your HDMI lead not doing it's job properly
