  1. Most allergy pills inhibit the release of histamine in the brain. Colds hae nothing to do with histamine. Some allergy meds have other drugs in them that are found in some cold medicines.

  2. claritin wont do anything for a cold. some of the older anthistamines like benadryl and chlortrimeton because they have drying effects in addition to blocking histamine that can help dry up a runny nose (but they tend to cause drowsiness) and sudafed (preferably the stuff behind the pharmacy counter) can help with stuffiness

  3. I took a prescription of Lunatric Allergy medicine and it really helped with my head cold. I had a tingling sensation in my genitialia area but felt much better. I hope claritin works well. :] BYE. Please ask your doctor if you are pregnant!

  4. Allegra

    Atarax

    Clarinex

    Claritin

    Periactin

    Phenergan

    Singulair

    Zyrtec
