  1. yes it does. It was developed in Ky. in the 19 cent. with the now extinct narragansett pacer and canadian pacer, both of which were naturally gaited and morgan and thoroughbred were bred to give it a nicer look and speed.


  2. you will find that nearly all horses go back to the throughbred spanish  horses , arabs etc all have a history of throughbred blood somewhere but as horses have evolved over hundreds of years and been interbred with other bloodlines this sometimes is hard to distinguish but  it is their a bit like tracing your family tree

  3. Yes, all Saddlebreds have some Thoroughbred in them- that was one of the breeds used to create the Saddlebred. Other breeds included the Morgan and the Arab, as well as the Narrangansett Pacer.
