I understand that public univerisies charge different amount for in-state and out-state students but do they charge even higher fee for international students?

Also, I tried to look up how much it costs to study at private universities but their websites don't seem to mention the cost for international students. Is this because the tuition fee is the same for everyone regardless of where they come from?

  1. The cost for internationals is the same as for out of state students at public colleges. At private schools, the rate is the same for all. The only difference is in financial aid, most schools do not treat international students as they do Americans and offer little aid to non Americans. A few top American schools such as several ivy league schools do offer generous aid to all.
