  1. well...i've played both cricket n baseball since high school. But i would prefer to play cricket cuz athelets don't take steriods n it requires more talent n thinking. Beside Catcher no1 wears a gloves, which amazes me coz in baseball every1 has gloves n its easy to catch the ball. From wat i heard, Cricket is the 2nd most watch game after Soccer (football). And i really enjoy watching the game too. No doubt it is far more entertaining than baseball.

  2. americans have something against every other country in the world

  3. Most Americans probably would have never heard of cricket so they wouldn't have anything against cricket.

  4. Its because they know that there's a better game than their beloved baseball. And we all know that they hate it when one of their sports is insulted.

  5. I think their problem is a lack of attention span. Baseball is very quick in the turnover of innings, nine completed innings for each side in a game so the sides are always coming on or off while cricket is a much more complex game.and obviously takes longer.

  6. Yeah, its because there trying to defend baseball.

  7. they dont like it. they are into the crappy baseball. =) offence americans. i mean no offence. =))

  8. im from america and im really into sports but had never heard of cricket until i went to london (bc im into american sports). the kids i talked to that do know about cricket in america think its confusing and really boring lol

  9. if its not american they dont want too now about it wich suits me because i love cricket and hate all americans

  10. In general the answer chould be, probably not.  It is English, ofter all.  Sir Garfield Sobers tried to start a Cricket league here years ago and got nowhere.  Actually, Cricket is played here in America.  Almost every major city has it's share of teams.  But it is played by Indians and Pakistanis here.  It has taken years for Football (we call it soccer) to catch on, but I imagine it would take even longer for Cricket to do so because of Baseball and the differences between the two sports.  "You mean there is no foul ball?"  "You don't have to run?" "Where's the catcher?"  I suppose we could field a side for World Cup Twenty/20, but I am not holding my breath.  And until Cricketeers can command salaries like Baseball and our Football players do you won't see much of that "English" (didn't we beat them in two wars lol) sport here.

  11. no

  12. They are probably just jealous that we have the best sport ever and they have c**p like grid iron and ice hockey!

  13. most yanks would not know anything about the sports outside of there own country plus it takes great skill to play cricket for 6 hrs in our summer months

  14. Yes u are right

  15. Yeah any American i speak to on yahoo seems to hate cricket.Maybe it's because they are jelous that cricket players have more talent than baseball players..

And also cricket players dont need to take steroids to be better players-unlike the baseball players..

  16. Nope

Americans come here post questions saying that Baseball is better and blah blah blah

  17. No they don't, grouch marx described cricket as "baseball on valium"

  18. I do not think Americans have anything against cricket.  The reason why cricket is not popular in America is due to long duration of the game.  Howev er with the introduction of Twen ty/20 format, interest for cricket will grow in America

  19. I'd bet money most Americans have never even heard of cricket
