  2. No, and we get really annoyed when a convenience store clerk gives it to us mixed in with our change!

  3. thats like asking if we take monopoly money

  4. probably depends on where u are.

i live in juneau, alaska and i think most of the stores give an exchange rate.

  5. no we accept american money

  6. no but theres a place were you can trade it in for u.s. dollars

  7. lol if you use the money that looks like a dime on occasion they will take and not realize its not a dime.  But I only did that one time unintentionally.

  8. American dollars, they're like 50p right.  The real reason for the attack on Iraq was because Saddam wanted to start trading oil in Euros, not a lot of people know that, Americans will be taking what they can get soon enough!

  9. yes, but only along the border. once you get much more than 20 miles in, its no good.

  10. yes only nickels bat do you know frogjake9 could you tell me how to get it back its my old account

  11. They will trade it for American money at the bank .Not all banks though .Experience in travelling .Most Americans would call it monopoly money because their too arogant to realize its only behind by about 4 cents to their dollar ....

  12. No, but Canadian money is very pretty if that helps ya :)

  13. Sure, send me a check - I'll gladly accept it.

    = )

  14. Only by mistake - we get those whatever they are size of quarters with the beaver on the head

  15. No

You will need to take the money to the bank and exchange it for American at the current exchange rate.

  16. most people and businesses near the border, or those that get a lot of tourists, will take Canadian money either at face value or with a approximated discount.  The further you get from the border, the less likely that is.  I have noticed that is also true in Canada.  Businesses near the border will take U.S. money but those farther away will not.

  17. I  think closer to the border they are probably more lenient but anywhere I worked.....no.  Ya...maybe change might slip through but too often and we were expected to pay out of our own pockets for accepting them.

  18. Of course we expect Canadian money.  We just trade it into US dollars first.  Many banks will trade it into US dollars.  You cant go to walmart and expect them to take your Canadian Dollars.  Just exchange it at a bank or before you come to the US.

Walmart doesnt know the exchange rate.  Things in America are based on US dollar, you cant expect every clerk to have a series 3 license and know the exchange rate.  The same as if americans go to france, you pay in francs....

Your money is all good here, just change it to the currency that you intend to buy goods with.

  19. no.

  20. In a business?No they dont.

  21. Throughout most of America, no.

Places that get a lot of canadian tourists do.  I know Reno Nevada does.  Probably some border areas, maybe Las Vegas.

  22. to answer your question  the answer is no --- but the closer you get to the border the more than likely you will be able to use the currency .

  23. No, I do not.

  24. no dude, sorry

  25. Usually, Americans don't accept currency from foreign countries because it is a pain to go to a currency exchange to change, in your case, Canadian money to American money. Pay with Dollar bills when in America, GO USA!

  26. depends on if you are just bartering with someone, or at a real store, at a real store, no, but with someone you know and are just exchanging maybe.

  27. Seem to find it tossed into the poker pot, and have a pretty good idea of where it's coming from.  What really gets me is when he tries to pass off Serbian money.

  28. No, but it's accepted in some banks and trading locations (such as airports etc.)

  29. Not supposed to but some gets slipped through the cracks because some coins are similar.

  30. maybe in border towns but for the most part no. sort of like here in San Diego, some gas stations near the borer accept mexican money but for the most part most places dont

  31. We accept dimes and quarters, but not paper money.
