Do Americans play Rugby?

Some due, but usually with different rules.  I just found out this weekend that my high school I graduated from now has a rugby team.  They play both high school and club teams in Houston.

Yes not one of there major sports though.

(They lost to the Japanese side, the Cherry Blossoms, down under in the '03 World Cup.)

Sure we play rugby. However we suck big time. Most Americans don't appreciate what a complex and fascinating game rugby is.

What the heck is Rugby?  I'm an American and have never played it.  Is it like football?  I'm almost certain that there is no American National Rugby Team.

Yes and they do have a National team but it really is the most minor of minor sports.

No, they are big poofs and play a similar game that requires them to wear helmets and lots of padding. Presumably they think it is more macho than rugby, but everyone else knows it isn't.

You know, I don't even know, and I am a 100% american girl...I love football...however I must say, Rugby is ten times more attractive than football.  Football is rugby after the health and safety administration has given the approval. :)  Plus, most rugby men are quite handsome...although they are missing teeth. :)

Yes America does pay play Rugby. Every year the National Teams of the Americans and Canadians together with the English B team compete for the Churchill Cup. Usually other side compete in the same competition but the "Guest" teams vary. England B, USA and Canadians are the only constant  attendees , as far as I know.  Canada were quite a strong team until recently, compared to the USA, usually always confident of a victory against their Southern neighbour. But the Americas are getting stronger.

Yes they have a national team, the Eagles, however it is debateable if they play Rugby. Just a note, the only time Rugby Union featured in the Olympics as a fifteen a side competition, I hate to say that they won it.
