  1. if we put mccain in the white house the war in ON

  2. Americans are bred to have a genetic affinity for war and violence.

    NOT REALLY!

I believe all humans prefer peace.  However, we (people, not just Americans) may have differing opinions on how to achieve peace.

I don't think that even the most peaceful protestnik would argue that the violence that was required to stop Hitler was wrong.  We don't WANT to do it, but sometimes we must.

  3. Peace sometimes have to be fought for.... the absence of war is not peace as some people believe. The Europeans wanted peace and when Hitler saw that they would do anything to avoid war..he declared war on them. If you are not willing to fight for freedom you WILL get war on the other persons terms.

  4. I want peace. War is useless.

  5. Of course...why would we always want to be sending our soldiers over to fight and die?  Sometimes in order to get peace you have to be diplomatic...and other times, you have to take military action.  That's just how it goes...

  6. I think deep down must Americans want peace, except for those who profit by wars like Bush, Cheney and McCain. However unfortunately they are able to fool many people by creating hysteria and fear, as well as selling them on the idea that what a President does, even war is patriotic. However fortunately more people are getting hip but at the cost of numerous lives and wasted resources

  7. I don't want peace. War is good, it has existed from the dawn of time and is the reason we have become the most prosperous and powerful nation in the history of the world.

  8. I think the American public does, but ask yourself this, How much money does Halliburton and United Defense make when we are at peace?

  9. Yes, but the question on how to acheive that peace is where Americans differ.  No peace on how to make peace.

  10. Yes, of course.

  11. I can't speak for ALL Americans but THIS American REALLY wants peace right NOW! I support our brave troops all over the world in trying to simply do their jobs but ABHOR that they were stuck being put in that situation to begin with.

  12. No, because there is no money to be made.  The poet Gil Scott Heron once said:

    "The Military and the Monetary,

from thousands of miles in a Saudi Arabian sanctuary,

kept us all wondering if all of this was really truely, necessary.

We've got to work for Peace,

    Peace ain't coming this way.

If we only work for Peace,

If everyone believed in Peace the way they say they do,

    we'd have Peace.

The only thing wrong with Peace,

is that you can't make no money from it."

Our nation has too many weapons and munitions industries not us not be using these 'products' in war. War has become the reason to keep these businesses going.

  13. Yes, we truly do want peace. But as hard as it is to beleive their will always be violence before you can achieve peace. Their will never be a day when all the nations gather together and created a peacful alliance. Someone will break the alliance starting a war. I admit we have chose to fight some wrong battles at some points. But most of the time we are doing it to try and protect the good people of that nation. If you understand what I mean, then great. Hope this helps .

  14. Yes,

How ever the criminal Elites and big fat corps. and their two errand boys  war criminals bush and cheney don't.

    Regards.

  15. Of course we do..

  16. I can't know what majority of Americans think but I'm getting the vibe they don't want peace, they want revenge. They choosed Mr Bush twice, we all know American culture is very much about violence (movies, tv shows, popularity of gun ownership and hunting...), government attacks Iraq, Afghanistan,....

I do want to believe I'm wrong though.
