  1. From what i know & understand about the Jehovah's Witnesses no they don't.

People of all ages are taught in the same meetings.

Maybe a JW will correct me if i am wrong.

  2. Jesus did not go to Sunday School- neither did any of the Disciples or Followers of Christ.

Sunday school is where children get indoctrinated about the immortality of the soul and all the other scary teachings- like if you don't accept Christ as your Savior  you " Burn forever". Children learn that Satan is Bad but when they " taught" that God Burns people, they despise him as well. Sunday school is a school for Fear.

  3. You said they didn't so why are you asking this question like you don't even know? Many churches don't have these, so are they bad in your eyes, or do you want to just show a bias attitude towards the Jehovah's Witnesses?

    EDIT:

Did I say she was? She already expressed her hate towards the organization yesterday, and one of her comments said that Jehovah's Witnesses do not care about children and that they do not have these youth groups ect.

I'm not being rude, I'm just stating the truth.

  4. No.

Every one of Jehovah's Witnesses and anyone associating with them learn the exact same things at the exact same meetings.

That's why many a 12-year-old child raised by JW parents knows more about the Bible than the average Catholic priest.

  5. No, they do not. Children (including babies) have to sit with their parents throughout all the meetings (one hour on Tuesday nights, two hours on Thursday nights and two hours on Sundays). Furthermore, parents take their children (and babies) with them when they go from door to door 'witnessing'.

If children (and babies) are restless, noisy or disruptive during meetings, parents have to take them out of the room.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that children should be exposed to exactly the same doctrines and methods of teaching that adults get. That way, they get to retain control over what they are allowed to read and think and do - adults as well as children.

  6. Christian parents can help their children—even infants—to become “wise for salvation” by bringing them to congregation meetings, assemblies, and conventions.  (2 Timothy 3:15)  Since children vary in disposition and attention span, discernment is needed to help them learn to listen attentively.  As was true in ancient Israel, so today young ones are present “in order that they may listen and in order that they may learn.”  (Deuteronomy 31:12)

Parents were strongly urged to shoulder their own God-given responsibility to care for the spiritual instruction of their children. Separate Sunday schools for youths were not encouraged. It was obvious that Christendom’s use of Sunday schools had done much harm. Parents who sent their children to such schools often took the view that this arrangement relieved them of the responsibility to give religious instruction to their children. The children, in turn, because they were not looking to their parents as a primary source of instruction about God, were not motivated to honor their parents and obey them as they should.  Parents are responsible to instruct their own children.  (Eph. 6:4; compare Deuteronomy 4:9, 10; Jeremiah 35:6-10.)  It also showed that the Bible provides no precedent for segregating young ones by means of junior classes.  Instead, they were to be present with their parents to hear God’s Word.  (Deuteronomy 31:12, 13; Josh. 8:34, 35) When further explanation of study material was needed, this could be given by the parents at home.  For further information & learn more - you may wish to get in touch with Jehovah's Witnesses at the local Kingdom Hall.  Or:  <watchtower.org>

  7. This is a sore topic for many who were raised as JWs.

The JWs do not have a "childrens ministry."  The children sit with the adults during the service.  Disruptive children are taken to the sitting area in the bathroom.  The children also accompany their parents in door-to-door "field service."

These are some similar questions.  Be sure to read through several of the answers.  You'll begin to understand why it is a sore subject.

Click Here:  You don't know that this MOM OF THREE hasn't been considering attending your services.  But your defensiveness/rudeness should be a red flag to her to run the other way!   If she is looking into JWs because she thinks they just might have "the truth," hopefully she will do much more research... and most importantly pray about whether she should entrust her salvation into the hands of sinful, errant men (the Governing Body, pope, etc).

    Edit:

While I disagree with many of the teachings and practices of JWs, Christians should take note of Mr. Cal's observation regarding spiritual upbringing of children within Christian churches.  While childrens minstries can SUPPLEMENT the child's spiritual education, it is still the responsiblity of parents to be the PRIMARY teachers.  This is all the more important with the prophecied decline of sound Biblical doctrine that is eating away at the vast majority of churches in these "last days."

  8. There would be little point !

God doesn't hold children accountable for there decision.

At what point do you know enough about the Bible that God wouldn't destroy you at Armageddon ?
