  1. Atlantic city casinos are unlike many other casinos in the us, and they do not id anybody upon entering.

Anybody is free to walk in the front door, so long as they dont walk on "the gaming floor"  which is usually seperate fom the rest fo the casino areas like the hotel, shops, resteraunts, spas etc

Usually you will only get ided upon sitting down at the table, or if you blatantly apear underage, you might get a random id from a roaming security gaurd.

You are under no obligation to show your id to anybody in the casino, howvere if you refuse they can and most definately will refuse to allow you to play, usualy you will be asked to leave or escorted by grumpy guards off the gaming floor.

I frequently refuse to show my id to protect my identity, usually i politely say that i left it in my car and ill run to the garage to go get it, they are usually very happy to let me do that.  I dont though, i just walk to another pit and play there, or next door to another casino and come back later.

One trick that gets you ided less is buying in with enormous amount of money, because very few peopel under 21 buy in with $1k or more, also when they ask you to leave, they know that you will be taking thousand of dollars out of their casino and their greedy hearts want you to play, so they usually let you and dont ask for id.

  2. They don't ID you going in.  But they have cameras and security all over the casino.  If they think you look young, they will ID you.  If they find you to be underage, the most likely outcome is being escorted out.  It's unlikely they would want to involve the police on a first time offender.

However, the problem is this.  If you win any kind of reasonable amount of money on a slot machine, you will be asked for ID before they give you your money.  If they find that you are underage, you won't get your winnings, since you cannot profit from illegal activity.  So you may end up losing a bunch of money in the slots and if you get lucky and win, you'll never get to collect your money.  Pretty pointless.

  3. Last time I went, Caesar's asked me when I at the tables.  Showboat was the only place who asked me before I even stepped into the casino.

Anyways, there are no consequences for walking through a casino, but there is if you particiapate in the gambling part.

By the way, if you want a great buffet, go to Showboat.  When you see the variety (especially the pizza part), you'll be in food heaven.

  4. When I was underage, I got in. I just walked in without looking around or at the security guard. Or try going in with a crowd. This is going back a few years, so they may be a little more strict now. The few times I saw someone carted, they just turned them away.

    Good Luck!
