Do Aunts Have an Impact on Their Nephews?

I spend a lot of time with my nephew 4 days a week. I take him to parks, theatre, fishing, beach, restaurants, library, teach him school subjects, bike riding, and adore him with attention. I love him.

His dad hardly spends any time with him. His mom can't take him anywhere as she works, and isn't the type to take him places.

So is he just going to remember me and him always?

He'll always love his mom and dad but he will love you especially, you'll be like his best friend because you don't have to punish him.

He vvill remember and cherish the time that you spent vvith him. So yes you have a big impact on him. He'll probably alvvays have a special bond vvith you.

Well you will have a strong impact on him.

but that is just poor parenting if they don't spend time with him.

anybody, family or not, who spends alot of time with  a child will have an impact on them, just as much as his/her parents NOT spending time with them will have an impact.chances are if it is as you say, this child will grow up more attached to you then to them, and they need to brush up on their parenting skills from the sounds of it.
