Do Australian army soldiers go clubbing?

are there buses to the city?

  1. If you're talking about those posted overseas...not many clubs in Afghanistan or Iraq although I'm sure they do have a place they can go to let their hair down a bit, within reason.

    In Australia or in other non-war zones, I'm sure they do manage to get away just as the navy and Air force do.

    You only have to be in the City when the various naval vessels from our and other countries pull into harbour to KNOW that the Navy allows they crew furlough.  


  2. Lol yes they do. Obviously if they have alot of training or are in a remote area they might not be allowed or able to get to clubs or pubs. My partner is in the RAAF and has mates in the army and they go out to clubs alot. Most of them stay on base and drink at the mess because its so cheap but when they do go out they go to clubs/pubs. Which city are you talking about? Your CO won't organise for a bus to come and pick all of you up and take you to the city, if that's what you mean, but cabs are usually allowed on base depending on what sort of safe base they have.
