  1. Balls are different sizes for different games (*see link). UK-style balls are a little smaller than American-style balls. But the table for any particular game should use the same size balls, for example, all UK-style tables will take the same size balls. The UK tables have rounded pocket corners and the American tables have pointed pocket corners.

  2. The balls do vary in size for different games such as english pool and american pool. However, although the balls should be the same size for one particular game, i have on many occasions witnessed varying ball sizes to the extreme point where some balls are so light and small it is almost impossible to apply spin to the ball without miscuing (I think this may be due to the mechanism in the table which allows balls to return i.e the cue ball)

  3. Generally they should all  be the same size...depending on the game.  My biggest experience is not so much size but the weight of the cue ball in bar tables...it having to weigh more to come back out really changes my game up a little bit...hate playing bar tables because of this!
