Question:

Do Boxers Really Make a Difference?

My husband and I have been trying for just about a year. We aren't quite ready to storm the Fertility Clinics, but I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with this. My husband wears Boxer-Briefs. I have always heard the old adage about boxers being more friendly to "the Boys". How true is it?

  1. My husband also wears boxer briefs but I really do not think that has enough effect to not be able to concieve. We have also been ttc for 9 months now. If you are still worried, have your husbands sperm count tested to ease your mind.

  2. It's true, but it's only going to really matter if his sperm count or motility is low.  It's definitely worth a try, though.

  3. Our fertility specialist said that body heat can kill some of the sperm, so if his sperm count is low, boxers may make a difference. But, if it is normal, it won't make much difference.

  4. have you thought of getting an over the counter ovulation test? there are only 2 days a month you can conceive (around 14 days after the 1st day of you period)? good luck!

  5. I'd be inclined to think the opposite was true. Boxers let his balls dangle and smack up against his legs when he runs/walks. Tightie Whities are too tight (and pretty gross lol), yet I know for a fact that that is all my grandpa and dad ever used (laundry) and here I am! Boxer briefs are a good medium. They give room to breathe as well as support.

But there is no way that is true unless you're talking about a man who has a morbidly low sperm count. Think of all the millions of people on this planet whose fathers wore briefs.....

  6. Regardless of what he is wearing, he must first remove them if you plan to conceive.
