Do Boxers and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels Get Along Well?

I Have a boxer and I'm thinking about getting a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel too. Do they get along well?

More than likely they will but It depends on the dogs.

You really cannot tell if they would get along until they meet each other.

Absolutley! Had both a Cavalier and a Boxer. My Boxer was already 10 years old when i got my first Cavalier at 8 weeks of age. They were best friends. My Cavalier brought my Boxer back to life as she was getting old and turning into a couch potatoe. And get this my Boxer was dog aggressive but she adored my Cavalier. Always very gentle with her. But at first i did have to keep a close eye on my Boxer because of her known aggression issues at first. But my Boxer only got unset with my Cavalier once over food, one week after a i got the Cavalier. But after they got to know each other they were a perfect match. I do run into people all the time that have both a Cavalier and a Boxer they too say they're a perfect match set. ;)

My corgi,fox terrier mix and my newfie, lab mix get on well. And when we were looking after two bichons they were fine. Then we got a new puppy and they didn't care to much.

They'll be fine together! Dogs are very social.

every dog has a different personality. you might want to try taking your dog to a dog park or pound to see how he/she reacts to other dogs. if the outcome is good, i say go for it. both breeds are very nice dogs.

I've reserched and I know boxers get along with children and other dogs.  But it all really depends on his personality.

It really has nothing to do with the breed, just how does your boxer act with other dogs? If he has a good temperament then you will be fine.. Because a puppy just wants to play all the time.. And if you boxer doesn't do too well with other dogs then just let them meet in doses.. They will eventually get along.
