flouride is put in our water supply in my city. I drink from a brita water filter and was wondering if this filter is also filtering the flouride, or is it just certain things?

  1. no.

only distilled or revers osmosis can do that,

  2. According to the manufacturer, as well as my dentist, Brita water filters do filter out trace amounts of fluoride, but it's such a small amount that you can still consider your tap water fluoridated. :-)
