  1. not a lot

  2. I'm from the UK and studied history in school quite a long time ago.  We didn't study American history; the main string of subjects was from ancient history onwards, and then certain European subjects which obviously seemed suitable for the syllabus.  I remember being bored rigid with the Spanish Wars of Succession.

Goodness knows how I passed any exams.  My great interest in history came with the efforts of my grandmother, who took me to the Victoria and Albert Museum to see the costumes, and had an almost supernatural gift for finding books for me to read that she knew I would find fascinating.  I then began reading for myself and discovered a huge interest in how people lived in times past.

I'm afraid American history was a negligible part of my education at school.  It was the rich history of Europe that we dealt with.

  3. Yeah. The people in Cuba and in Europe study our history.

  4. i'm british and i have studied some american history in school, i learnt about america when it was first colonised by europeans etc and the battle of little bighorn i think it was called (i studied it a while ago so cant quite remember).

also learnt about 1920s america, the great depression after etc

i'm not sure if all children have to in britain but at my school, if you studied history then you had to study certain aspects of american history.
