Do Brits actually feel proud of the Royal Family?

Just a question. Prince Harry is a clown, the queen is a b#tch... its like that whole family is immoral and/or completley stupid. I always thought we were past the times of pointlessly allowing people to be head of state who don't actually deserve it. I'm from Canada, and it makes me sick to think that we still observe that royal family as our head of state.

Yes, when heads of state are elected they are much more moral. Like the Kennedys. Or Clinton. Or Nixon.

And clever. Like Reagan (or Al Gore)

i think that you are sadly misguided, and by the way my Queen is also YOUR Queen!!! Canada has a constitutional monarchy with Queen Elizabeth II as its head of state. and your fail to realize that the family line that the queen is descended from, has ruled most of the world and maintained it, and you may think that we were past the times of pointlessly allowing people to be head of state who don't actually deserve it, then i ask you to look at the current diplomatically elected leaders throughout the world.

And I would like to point out that any move to depose the crown from Britain would directly affect Canada.

I'm Canadian. And I'm proud of The Queen. I don't understand how you can think she's a *****. I'd like to know on what basis you say that?

How is the family stupid? Is yours any better? Could your life stand up to the kind of scrutiny theirs faces? There are over 100 reporters in London whose full time job it is to follow them around 24/7. These people have to generate copy just to keep their jobs.

The Queen is in her 80s - yet she keeps over 700 engagements a year. The Duke is older and still keeps up with his regiments, charities, the Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

Prince Charles was among the first people to focus on helping inner city kids follow their dreams and passions through his Prince's Trust. He's also worked hard to preserve the English countryside from over development, and been a leader in advocating against global warming and environmentally-friendly farming.

That neither sounds stupid or embarrassing. Did he handle his divorce well? No. But guess what, most of my friends are divorced and they didn't do any better.

i am not British.. but they are people to and do make mistakes.. they are not perfect while the Brits may not be proud of all the things they do.. they are royalty.. i doubt they are proud of everything there own family does.. and this will only show them that it is OK to make mistakes

Royals have one hand over every brits mouth, and the other hand in every  brits pocket. You cant get an answer to your question that will be frank and outright. If anyone speaks out against royals, they get ostracized by their friends, neighb ors and even their relatives. The power to ostracize is ruthlessly used by royals in britain to keep them in power. and dont let anyone tell you royals have no power. They control the social system in britain by the power to ostracize.
