  1. us canadians dont care where your from we treat everyone with respect and honour. it also a beutiful place. i think ull have a great time living here in canada!

  2. We are human beings first, and our first priority is to treat everyone the same.I have no clue how you treat the foreigners in your country but we don't discriminate people here in Canada.

  3. As far as I know Canadians like the Brits. I spent 6 months in Brighton and was treated very well where ever I went. So I personally like the British and one of my favourite people on earth is British. Super lady.

Many Brits live here and in most larger cities there are pubs that cater to those working or living here. Also most larger cities have rugby clubs and football clubs set up by your fellow countrymen.

I think/hope you find all my countrymen are gracious and will try and make you feel at home here.

I think you are on par with our like of Australians and above that of Americans. We get a little tired of the Americans bragging and telling us we have no national identity, which most Canadians will tell you is totally untrue.

Hope you move goes well and Welcome.

  4. Depends on who you are. Just as there are some annoying Canadians and some cool ones, I'm sure the same applies to people from any other part of the world.

  5. We treat everybody the same "regardless of the nationality"

  6. Welcome from across the pond!

I don't believe we Canucks prefer one group over another. Everyone that comes here is welcome. We may hear your accent and comment on it, but it is likely to be out of curiousity, not disdain.

I have only ever had one negative experience with a Brit and that was with one of the traditional black taxi cabs I took from Heathrow a few years ago. When the driver (an older caucasian fellow) found out I was from Canada, he proceeded to provide me with a history lesson regarding my home country and its British roots, along with a few pointed remarks about our breaking away from the monarchy and our duties to respect the Queen. I found it all rather amusing, but did respect his opinion and naturally would never speak ill of my ancestry ;-)

So come on over...except for the weather, you are likely to find the country rather similar.

  7. Most Canadians live and let live. Of course there are some who are jerks, and they come in all shapes and sizes. After everything is said and done Canadians are yesterdays Brits, and French , and Italians. We have a saying, It just doesn't matter until you p-ss on our boots. Ps Austrailians are great, and Americans are ok ,one at a time. When you get 2 or more together they try and outdo each other in "who is the most patriotic" and then they want to tell you how great they are.

  8. Canada has become quite the melting pot and most of the people here are very nice and accepting of all walks of life.

  9. I always enjoy running into Brits in Canada. All the ex-pat Brits I've met here are polite, funny, intelligent and well-read. Australians are well-liked too, and Americans are generally fine but some don't travel well because they believe that if it isn't American it's second-rate.

  10. people are treated much better then the USA when it comes to nationality and race,,,,at the same time BRITAIN IS WELL RESPECTED !!! IF YOU LOOK INTO OUR HISTORY YOU WOULD SEE WHY >CANADA IS AN INDEPENDANT COMMON WEALTH COUNTRY OF BRITAIN >WE STILL HONOUR THE QUEEN AS A FIGURE HEAD CURRENCY ETC >>>OUR GOVERNMENT IS BASED ON YOUR SAME SYSTEM NOT THE US

HEARD OF THE WAR OF  1812 :)

  11. We love the accent - you'll probably have no trouble meeting girls (or guys if you prefer). If you're a nice guy, people will be nice to you, no worries. You'll probably be liked more than an American because they can be so full of themselves, plus unless they live along the border they think we live in Igloos and get around by dogsled, lol. Aussies are probably just as well liked as Brits are, but pretty much everyone is liked here, so long as your not a jerk. You'll be fine, have fun!

  12. I like them, I'm actually marrying one.

From what I've seen, we don't overly care where people are from, short of asking about your history, accent and how you find the weather.
