  1. no, cells don't have brains. it's equivalent would be the nucleus in the cell, or more specifically the nucleolus, which contains genetic information which tells the cell how to behave (and how to duplicate).

  2. No.... they have a nucleus which in a way, serves as the cell's brain...   :  )

  3. the nucleus of a cell is the analogue of a brain, yes. it contains   the chromosomes, which hold DNA.

  4. Cells have a nucleus, which I guess is their version of a brain. The nucleus contains all of the cell's DNA which guides the cellular processes they must perform to survive.

  5. No but brains have cells

  6. No

  7. This is a good question.  A brain in the sense that we know is an integrating organ that has "oversight" on all bodily functions.  It serves as the central processing unit in our bodies.  Although cells do not have brains (since a brain in an organ composed of millions of cells) it does have data processing capabilities by virtue of its genome as well as many biochemical pathways that regulate what goes on inside the cell.  In fact the brain is a conglomerate of millions of cells that process data as a whole by virtue of their genomes.  I hope this simplifies things for you.  If you have further questions feel free to contact me.

  8. cells do not have a "brain" but they do have a nucleus which contain DNA ...this acts as a brain by "telling the cell what to do basically".

so the nucleus can be seen as the "BRAIN" of the cell...so to say.

  9. they have a neculus, which is their control center

  10. yes, just like brain controls the functioning of the body,

in cells also, certain "controllers" do exist!!

    The answer is: ENZYMES.

    a cell is main with:

    1. genetic material (that lies in the nucleus)

    2. the biochemical pathways.

In genetic functioning, enzymes "control" the Replication, Transcription, Translation etc.. by changing the conformation of their own, as an exact substrate attaches to them.

And in biochemical functioning, enzymes "control" the biochemical pathways by feedback or allosteric mechanisms (again by changing their conformations).

    Good luck!!
