Question:

Do Chinese husbands usually want to live with their mothers after marriage? ?

This especially goes for Chinese men who are from China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan who have traditional values.

I hear this quite often, that even after Chinese men get married, they usually want to live with their mothers (after their dad passes away).

Is this true?

  1. it is often bc chinese men are raised to take care of their family, including their parents.

if their mothers are widowed, then definitely most of them will feel the need to take care of their mother due to love and responsibilites as a son.

nowadays, some chinese men, particular "non-only sons" will choose to live with their wife only-- they will either help settle down their elderly parents or let their older siblings take care of their parents.

some times they don't necessary want to ... but they feel like they should just bc their parents have been taking care of them all their lives.. and they rely on their sons and daughters to take care of them when they retire and are not capable to care for themselves~~

  2. Yes they do. Mothers pack awesome lunches.

  3. not exactly right.. its all depend on the situation..

as far as I know.. not  all men like that..

  4. That is the tradition, usually the first son needs to live with their parents. If not, who will take care of their parents?
