Do Chinese restaurants, IN AMERICA, serve dog meat or cat meat or is this a rumor?

I have heard of places being busted for this, is this true or just rumor? Has anyone ever seen it on the news or anything?

  4. No, in some Chinese restaurants that are in China serve dog, but that isn't true in America.

  5. No, it is a rumor. I have even been to china and even though they serve things such as pig snout and chicken feet in most places they only eat dog and cat in two very small provinces.

  6. It is a rumor.  And to answer Krissy's question....it is usually chicken thighs.

  7. We actually had a Chinese restaurant near here (North Florida) closed because they found cat in their freezer. But, the owner explained that Chinese nationals do eat cat, and it is apparently considered kinda like a gourmet food, and the meat had been stored for a private party. It is not served on the general menu. Alright guys, don't look so horrified. In India, they don't eat cows either.

I don't think so, but a friend of mine made a really good observation: what part of the chicken does the meat for chicken and broccoli come from? i assume the breast, but my friend made a point that it doesn't really look like breast meat and it is always so tender, never dry. it got me thinking and not in a good way. i say go to chinese restaurant thats clean and where you're seen them preparing the foods.
