  1. not all Christians are like that. that's the fundamentalists who hate everything that's not of Christianity. they make things for the rest of us Christians who believe that God made fun for all of us to enjoy within certain boundaries.

  2. Tonight & Tomorrow Christians are having their annual "Night of Joy" at Walt Disney World in Florida.

The main event will be something on your list:  Music.

    Lots of Christian singing groups.

  3. That's because Christian standards are higher than the unbelievers.

That doesn't mean that Christians don't have fun. Christians are the happiest people in the world.

  4. You are wrong on all counts in so many ways.  Let me deal with your first ridiculous 'hate'.

All the Christians that I know love love, and s*x also.  Truth is our God created s*x.  Truth is s*x is way too much fun for it to have evolved this way.  If it were one tenth as fun people would still have s*x.

You clearly do not know Jesus, the Bible or s*x.  Set your sub-righteous anger aside and check out real Christians and the Bible.  Do not listen to your propagandizing high school teachers, they are ignorant.

I have more fun than a person should be allowed to have.  Personally, I think you may need medication.

Many extremists atheists would probably consider me a fundamentalist.  And, I think the Puritans were great.  They were some of the first to get a foothold in America.  They were adventurers and offered compassion to people.

  5. I'm a Christian with choices....Not that it's any one's business, I would like to stand and say I don't celebrate Halloween. However, I do like a pumpkin on the table during fall. We also enjoy having a safe time on Ha la Lu ah night with the kids at the church. I don't read Harry Potter books or vampire books for that matter. Do watch the Simpson's and laugh at the common ignorance of America, to include myself. I don't like cursing, but I do on occasion. Now, for s*x. My husband and myself practice a healthy relationship with each other . Now we don't exploit our bedroom life on the streets.

I don't bare my practices with others unless they want to. I really don't find it attractive to tell anyone to stick it. Sorry, it just don't seem nice at all.

  6. You don't know what is to hate anything that is fun until Ms Palin takes over the USA government by default...!

Psalm 18:7-10 (NIV) The earth trembled and quaked,

    and the foundations of the mountains shook;

they trembled because he* (*God) was angry.

    8 Smoke rose from his nostrils;

consuming fire came from his mouth,

burning coals blazed out of it.

    9 He* (*God) parted the heavens and came down;

dark clouds were under his feet.

    10 He* (*God) mounted the CHERUBIM* (*an elite angel) and flew;

he soared on the wings of the wind.

Hey… Let’s face it hardly any Heathen God beats the sporty Bible God…!!!

  7. Christians do lots of fun things; bible study, going to church, singing hymns, and vacuuming

  8. I see your confused lol...I am a Christian and I have fun the real fun the clean fun...s*x is fun when your married..TV is fun when your not watching something your not supposed to...something you don't have to wonder if anyone is coming so you would have to flip the channel.

Just because you wear a purity ring does not make you a Christian..don't be fooled my friend

Life can be fun without sin...Smile and Be Happy

  9. Heh, wow, you really think that Christians hate everything fun?  The fact is that Christians hate everything sinful.  (s*x out of marriage, certain kinds of music, Harry potter, some tv shows.)  As for simpsons and spongebob, I don't know any Christians that have a problem with those things.  As for Halloween, there's a lot of pagan background with that holiday.

So it's not that we Christians hate everything fun, we just hate everything that we know is wrong.

  10. No. I like s*x, with my husband. I like Harry Potter, realizing that it is fiction. I watch TV, including the Simpsons. I don't like Spongebob, but my kids watch him every day. I believe in s*x education, but I believe that abstinence should be a part of that, I have read curse words and haven't melted yet, and have even been known to mutter one on occassion, even though I know it is wrong.  We carve multiple pumpkins every year and even trick or treat. Not all Christians are the fundamentalist type that you are referring to. To be a Christian one must accept Jesus as their Savior, not adhere to a bunch of strict rules that have nothing to do with salvation.

  11. I think it is ones interpretation of fun.

As a Christian, i like s*x with my HUSBAND, I like music, I prefer Christian music, but I do listen to SOME mainstream music.  I like Harry Potter, have all the books saw all the movies - on the days released.  simpsons aren't to bad most of the time, spongebob is fine, s*x education - well this is an individual choice.  It is depending on WHAT they are teaching.  i don't mind the basics, but when they start educating outside of the basics, I think that is for the parent to decide, not hte schools.  Books with curse words,  well I suppose I have read a book that may have had a curse word in it, but I don't go looking for non curse word books specificly - I think it is the TYPE of book one prefers to read -  and I think someone who looks for curse words specifically has real issues.  Halloween - I don't see the point in over doing it.  My kids can trick or treat with approriate costumes, that is about it.  We carve pumpkins.

I think you generalize to much.

I am not into dressing up my children in hiddious costumes, nor do I allow tgem to listen to profane and vulgar music and movies - It is a shame you think that to be abnormal - I wouldn't allow this even if I were not a Christian.  And people have to wonder why the youth of today are so disrespectful and violent..........

Your idea of fun, is just that, your idea.  Others have their own ideas and it is their CHOICE!

  12. First of all no, I'm a devout christian adn I personally love the Harry Potter books/movies. The bible says numerous times that we should play music as a form of entertainment and Spongebob is just a harmless children's show. I've always enjoyed trick or treating with friends, and pumpkin carving as a kid. Just because some crazy sect of christians speaks out and embarrasses the normal christians doesnt mean all of us christians are like that. Are you seriousy that ignorant?

  13. Puritanism - the fear that someone, somewhere, is having fun.

  14. Yep. They have a problem with Spongebob because he started his life as a g*y character.

He's still pretty g*y, but it's a kid's show, so they don't care particularly to share the character's sexuality. There's an episode where he finds a clam with Patrick and he decides to dress like woman and be Patrick's wife...

I get pretty amused with the references children don't get. Parents are stupid. you don't need to censor things with mature ideas in it for the children. They won't get it.

The Jonas brothers are not hot. Especially with purity rings...I want a MAN. A manly man who is wise to the ways of PLEASURE. First timers always mess it up. XD

  15. No, b/c God said that He came to give us life and life more abundantly! To have life THAT abundant is hardly what I would call boring.....I'm a Christian girl and I have LOTS of fun and you know what's the best part about it? I don't have to wake up the next day and regret what I did the day (or night) before! CHRISTIANS HAVE MORE FUN!!!!!!!!!!

  16. I love all the things you mention. Well, the s*x ed classes weren't very informative, the teacher lisped every time he said s*x. The biology classes covered the subject better.  Johas Brothers seem a bit weird for me. I think purity rings are silly. I have never missed a Halloween, I still wear costumes and love pumpkins.

  17. We have higher aspirations

Jam 4:4 Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

  18. s*x is sin for not married and under age, but if you mean, joy, happines and care, love and peace then no! We can travel forests and lands, for peace and joy, play with another persons (kids) , love for loving other women, if you are an adult and have married! God Bless You All !!

  19. I enjoy many of the things you list above.  Being married I enjoy s*x.  I have an eclectic taste in music (a little of everything), I can't wait for the next HP film -- read all the books, I watch TV (and not just the news), I do not care for the Simpsons (this is a personal choice although some of the shows I have seen are hilarious), I am a SongeBob fan (shall I sing the theme song as proof), s*x education done right is a good thing, I read a wide variety of books some even have opprobrious language,  I like Halloween (I carve pumpkins and we dress up every year -- we even have a small festival at church).  BTW I do not like the Jonas Brothers -- they get on my nerves.

  20. I am sorry that you feel this way but most of your items you listed are completely wrong. s*x is allowed in marriage between male and female; Harry Potter falls under the category of witchcraft so God doesn't love it; TV is considered okay as long as overindulgence of it doesn't turn it into a form of idolatry ; God hates idolatry, the Simpson's are considered to be offensive because of sexual content to children and offensive language--- basically not wholesome which is not of God; Sponge bob? don't really know--kid show;  pumpkin carving is pagan, and dressing up in costumes is okay, except for halloween which is all hallows eve which is also pagan, which also falls under witchcraft, which God doesn't love. Your list may go on and on and on , but God still loves you and is missing your presence. Blessings

  21. harry potter- FICTION and i dont worship HP

s*x- great just wait till marriage

    tv- fine

    simpsons- fine

    spongebob- fine

    s*x education- necessary

and if the jonas brothers choose to wear rings to symbolize that they are gonna wait, then you should accept that. just like everyone accepts that you choose not to.

  22. I dont HATE music or spongebob or s*x education or s*x (as long as you wait for marrage) and im reading a book with tons of cuzz words I celebrate halloween and not against pumpkin carving or costumes. IM against harry potter for a good reason! And you know what else about me I LOVE JESUS MY GOD WITH ALL MI HEART AND MIND! God dosent want you not to have a what you call "fun" life he gives more life to the people who love him. your main porpos in life is to teach and preach the word of God so you can save as many people posoble from the firery pits of h**l! im not really against any of that but Harry potter and music if you meen like hard metal music but i just personly dont like the simpsons its just wierd... and the bible even cuzzes so..?? hope it helps *PEACE*

  23. Golly jeepers, Christians hate "The Simpsons"?  Whatever shall I do?

Actually, not all Christians are in agreement with all of the stuff that you said.

  24. It all depends on your idea of fun! The christians I know are all for s*x, just in the confines of marriage.  Save that fun for the right person so you don't have to worry about disease and being heart broken. ( Makes since to me).  Lot's of churches do Halloween stuff, they just don't like the whole witch thing.   The simpsons are just rude and teaches children to be disrespectful.  Fine for adults that no better but not for kids that are impressionable.  Look at our schools full of kids brought up with disrespectful tv and you will understand why.  As for curse words.  What's the fun in being crude or ignorant sounding?

  25. pretty much yes-

although I would reccomend for the insane asylum anyone over the age of 3 who thought sponge bob was fun.

  26. Of the things you named, most Christians do like s*x, TV and music ... Oh and s*x education is good too,But all the other things you named....nah,

  27. No. s*x is a wonderful gift of God to married couples.

I have no problem Harry Potter stories

s*x education is good, but I would like to know what is taught to my children

My church even has Halloween parties fro kids, great fun

  28. No. I have never been against Harry Potter (or any other work of fiction), am an anti-censorship advocate, celebrate Halloween, drink alcohol (with my church's knowledge and blessing), and support scientifically sound s*x education. Another thing: most people probably wouldn't even be celebrating Mardi Gras if it weren't for my denomination's influence upon that holiday.  Our wedding receptions are also legendary. We know how to party.

  29. I am a Christian and I have a lot of fun in my life.  I am happy and content within my faith.  I can do many things for fun and relaxation.  I do not care for spongebob, but have nothing against it.  Some things are so silly I see no reason to fool away my time with them, as Spongebob, Harry Potter, the Simpsons.  I see nothing wrong with having a party on Haloween and enjoying that time as any other with other Christians.  There are NO holy days today, and as long as you do not accept them as a holy day there is no difference with them and any other.

I love to get together and play games, sing or play music.  Dressing crazy is fun once in a while.  I like costume parties.

You don't know my life or you would not ask the question you asked.  I feel I miss nothing but my good health I would enjoy very much.  I think you should open your eyes and look around before you complain like this.

    May God richly bless you.

  30. Ok - you've heard from the mockers, just as you were hoping, but surprise!  Fun does NOT have to be sinful!  s*x in marriage is great  (*GRIN*).  It's adultery and fornication outside of marriage that's wrong.

Do Christians say you can't listen to music?

This sounds like a straw man argument!

As far as the rest, it's personal.  Some people don't like fantasy while others do.

Spongebob and Jonas brothers?  What do these have to do with anything?

And HEY!  Watch your language!  Can't you express yourself without being rude?  Or are you just a rude person?  It's people like YOU that drain the fun out of things, with your filth, your rudeness, etc!

Or, are you just simply against morality?  Does that make you an immoral person?  Immorality drains the life from ANY thing that would otherwise be fun!

  31. Yes.

Everything has hidden messages from Satan.

edit:  For those of you who say s*x is alright after marriage, WHAT!?  Last I heard using birth controll was a sin as s*x was only a necessity to create children.
