If this is so, then why do Christians always pick on Catholics? It is said a Christian is one who is Christ like so Is this Christ like behavior?

I do not mean to insult anyone but it is just that I do not understand this behavior

  1. What you should ask is do Protestants and Catholic etc. We Catholics are the first Christians. Then the Orthodox then the Protestant. Yes we all follow the same Lord. The Protestant reformers in the 16th. cent. changed the way of worship to something they thought was better. After nearly 500 yrs. the Protestant communions have fractured repeatedly resulting in about 30,000 different denominations. They all follow scripture alone and they all believe that each individual is the sole authority unto themselves for interpreting the scriptures. This is what has resulted in so much division among them. We Catholic and Orthodox have the teaching authority of the Church to guide us. The Catholic Church was the first to be given the name Christian by the Romans and the Jews in the 1st. cent. The Protestants have taken the name over, but it doesn't change the history.

  2. Wake up little one, Catholics are Christians. People from different denominations of Christianity pick on the Christian denomination of Catholicism.

  3. Catholics ARE Christians.  In fact, we were the first.

What the protestants don't get is that the Church is fundamentally beyond improvement.  Every so often, a new upstart denomination "realises" that the Church is corrupt  (well, duh!  What was taking you so long?),  tries to get back to the roots of what they imagine Jesus would have wanted -- and ends up blowing it spectacularly.

By the way:  If Queen Elizabeth hadn't fallen out so severely with her sister Mary, Queen of Scots, the chances are the Church of England would have merged back with the Roman Catholic Church a long time ago.

  4. Yes we do believe in the same person Jesus.

If this is so, then why do Christians always pick on Catholics?

It is not that, all Christians that pick on Catholics, its these new ''churches'' [born again, baptist, pentecostal etc etc] that are aggressive and business minded, that are picking on Catholics.

The main reason they pick on catholics and try to prove them wrong is MONEY MONEY and more MONEY. Catholics are easy preys, as they already believe in Jesus and they (born agains), don't have to do much to 'convert' them.

    Other reasons are:

1.Because they want to show that they are superior or something. They pretend to be the Jesus' of today.

    2. Because they are too dumb to realize that we all follow the same person.

    3. They want more people to come to their "meetings" so that they can earn from the newcomers. eg more people = more contribution = more money.

    4. If everybody starts speaking in "tongues", they wont look so stupid.

    5. They have a reason to divorce at the drop of a hat (it is like Jesus sanctioned divorce according to them)

    etc etc...   ...   ...   ...

It is also a right time to point out that their pastors [Benny Hinn, Oral Roberts, John Haggee, Todd Bentley ...  ...  ...  ...] cheat and fool them on a daily basis demanding money like it was their right to do it.

Benny has a plane [bought through contributions] he calls, ''The vehicle of God'', sadly only benny is authorized to fly in it.

John Haggie writes a book "In Defense of Israel'' where he claims that Jesus never claimed divinity at all.

or forget the links that I posted read the book for yourself. It is available on amazon.

Don't even get me started on Todd.

Those  and other ''pastors'' divide Christ's church on petty grounds like, Catholics worship Mary, Peter not being the head of the church, catholics following tradition, not to forget the oh so famous ''The church sells indulgences''. I can clear all these misconceptions, but I cannot remove the hate that their pastors instill in their minds about Catholics. What those people do not realize is that these pastors divide the church to make a lot of money, let me tell you that being a pastor is a very profitable business.

Let me also say that this question has been avoided by most of them, because they know that they are guilty of dividing the first and only Church of Christ.

Thats it for now, if you would like to know more about their pastors write it in your additional details.

  5. Who made bifurcation in caste? Ourselves only. The caste was made to live together. gather together for which temples, mosques, churches were built up. God is in you and do not think that you are doing yourself everything, it is duty of our body is doing depending upon the good and bad things that had done earlier. Once this is realised by each and everyone, everybody say that we are one, we have one God. When a person comes to the earth after birth, does he know that what is his caste, community, etc. If you think on this, you will get the answer.

  6. Catholics are Christians, so yes, we do.

Some non-Catholic Christians "pick on" Catholicism because they hold a lot of misconceptions about our faith.

For instance, they "know" that we worship Mary -- even though we don't.

They "know" that we worship statues and other objects -- even though we don't.

They "know" that Catholicism teaches salvation through good works -- even though it doesn't.

They "know" that celibacy for priests and nuns is un-Biblical -- even though it's VERY Biblical.   That's why Jesus practiced it.  So did St. Paul,   Both of them encouraged others to do it as well, if they could handle it -- just as the Church does!

They "know" that praying the Rosary is wrong because it involves "vain repetiton" that Jesus condemned -- not realizing that repetitive prayer is fine as long as it is not vain.   That's why Jesus prayed in a repetitive fashion during His Agony in the Garden.

These are just some of the many misconceptions some non-Catholic Christians have about Catholicism.

They don't bother to find out for themselves what Catholicism really holds -- these anti-Catholic ideas are just passed down from one generation of anti-Catholic Christians to the next.

    .

  7. Catholicism is a form of Christianity. "Christians" picking on other denominations of Christianity are ignorant sheep.

  8. Yes and I am a born again Holy Spirit filled Jesus follower

I do not pick on Catholics

I do not pick on no one

Jesus said to love thy brethren

    I love and forgive everyone

And if you have hate in your heart you will never enter the Kingdom of God

  9. I'm Christian, but not Catholic. we all believe in the same thing, One God. Catholics have very high opinions of Mary, whereas  we do not. That is just about the only major difference, and I have nothing against Catholics, we are all going to Heaven, just getting there differently!

I've never met a protestant that "picks on" a catholic, or vice versa. I, myself, have been to a Catholic church, but I'm perfectly happy with my own.

  10. Catholics are Christians and yes we all (if a professed Christian) follow Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and worship the Holy Trinity (God) which He is a part of. Other Christians pick on Catholics because they do not understand us, nor have they done the research into both their own faith and ours to learn the history of it and listen to their preacher instead of finding out through their own merits.

Pray the Rosary and receive the Sacraments for the glory of God in the Highest!

  11. Yes.

And Catholics are Christians.  In fact, they are the largest Christian denomination in the world.

  12. I think you may have embaressed some of the protestants.  The truth is, most Protestants, Anglicans, Lutherans, Methodists etc.. are pretty mellow about Catholics.  It's more the really young churches, those without a coherent doctrine who focus on hating us.  The behavior is hypocrytical.   That's why they can't answer.  But thank you for pointing it out.  They'll probably listen more to an atheist than to a Catholic!
