For example, a Jehovah's Witness trying to convert a Protestant, or a Baptist trying to convert a Catholic, or a Mormon trying to convert Seventh Day Adventists?

  1. Good idea for a TV show!

  2. No. They don't stand a chance. I sort of like the corny pamphlets.

  3. It is very irritating when Jehovah Witnesses or Mormons show up at my door.  I know exactly who they are before they open their mouths, and I do all the questioning...lol   I have also invited them into my home and shared the gospel with them! They didn't like it too much when the shoe was on the other foot needless to say.

But yes, as a Christian...It is very irritating to me when these people try to convert me to "their religious dogma"

Just live and let live i guess.

  4. Why should I hate it?

What if they are genuinely concerned about my soul?

I should only hope that I am genuinely concerned for them, and not just trying to earn "brownie points" with God.

  5. It can be annoying to have people knock on your door However, these people just have a love of God and want to share it with you.

  6. LOL i find that highly amusing

  7. I dislike it very much.  I received a message from someone who read one of my answers and he wanted to "bring me back to Jesus". I wrote him back to let him know I never left.  If I need help finding Jesus, I have a very good pastor who's more than willing to set me straight. I don't need someone else telling me what to believe.

  8. What's really annoying is when someone tries to convert you to your own religion. Then you tell them that you are already a part of that religion. But they won't go away. They just keep talking, and talking, and talking about the joy and the salvation and the cross and such... Buzz off, God-boy - the big game is on, and I'm trying to enjoy my sammich!

  9. Remembering my former days as a Catholic, I'd have to say yes.  Even when I was a believer I couldn't stand missionaries -- which is odd, given the church's stance on missionary work.

  10. Actually, from a certain point of few, some of those, like the Mormons and jehovah's Witness for example, aren't considered Christan, because they do not adhere to the core fundamental Christian theology and doctrines that would make one Christian.  And I'm not talking about little differences like how much water should be used in baptism, i'm talking major issues as in, who Jesus is, how does one obtain salvation, etc..

  11. Haha, I know I didn't like it!

A JW tried to do that with my family, which was Mormon, yes. They all have slightly different views, I've experienced. E.g. Mormon's believe that God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost, (the Trinity), are 3 completely different beings, while (I forget which, probably Baptist; or any other common one), believe they're all 1, just different forms.

  12. I'm Christian and I dont have a problem with it. I actually enjoy sitting down and talking to them about their views and so forth. We ususally share the same views as far as morals are concerned but differ where Christ comes in. But I think it to be very intriguing.

  13. Yes we all need to get together and read the origanal sripture

  14. These are all border line cults you mention except for the Protestants.  I haven't been able to begin to convince any of them.  Yes, they do resent it.

  15. It is usually one big carnival like when they get together to sing in different languages.

  16. I do not hate it. I believe the principle is admit you are sinner and accept Jesus Christ and live for Him alone. When other denominations don't emphasise this it frustrates me. Focus on Jesus Christ alone.

  17. Mostly it's the non-Bible-believing Christians who get mad. Bible believeing Christians usually are not offended at all, but instead see it as an opportunity to share our faith and challenge the beliefs of the false Christians.
