  1. Roman Catholic

Why think in what atheist believed? I never though of this, thou, since I first talk to an atheist, simple because the experience wasn't a pleasant experience, perhaps because I do have an analytic perceptive mind, and although threatening, to anyone it doesn't complement well with the intense and almost dark side atheist have to senses others(peoples). this experience told me not to get involved in a discussion about my believed with atheist because the only thing I was able to experience is their intentions for others to see, and sense everything they see in their own way. and that is it!I can't deal with one track mind individuals, perhaps in the end they may have something to say, about God, which is to my knowledge the only thing I believed IN, of course the Family of God also very Important, to remember and to know simply because that it tell you where we came from, and how different is the Humanity God introduce to this earth, compered with the Humanity we have been able to develop by not listening to HIM, to his Son and all the heavenly Humans, that soon they will leave this earth and they will never come back, and they will leave us behind, to enjoy our life, only with the demons in Command.

  2. no

  3. some do, some don't, depends on christian to christian

  4. I think that most of them know that such ideas are not tied into the idea of Atheism. Some do think that such ideas are tied. For this, I think the blame comes from 2 areas.

One, is the Christians themselves. Whether led by their propaganda or out of their own ignorance, they wed science, with its current theories, to Atheism. It doesn't help that Atheism is viewed as a "group" instead of a category whose members can hold very disparate views. That's why I like to compare it with the term "aleprechaunism;" people understand that it really doesn't imply any other specific beliefs, nor does anybody think of the "aleprechuanists" as a group or organization. People who lack belief in leprechauns can still hold very different views on just about everything. The same is true for Atheism.

The other is from Naturalists, especially Materialists (a subset, and most common form, of Naturalism). Using the much more generic term "Atheism" to describe themselves, they use science to justify just about everything they do think, including using it to debunk religious stories. While this is not strictly incorrect, their opponents end up tying "Atheism" to science instead of "Materialism" to science. It's a mistake in thinking, but the Materialist do nothing to clarify this mistake. They probably aren't even aware that it happens.

Finally, there are people who know that the ideas aren't tied, but don't apply that knowledge. They know what the "responses" are and what the "definition" is, but that piece of information is not integrated into their understanding of the world. We all know people like this: you can argue with them and win, they remember the argument, they remember why their supports aren't valid, and they continue thinking in the same way despite what happened. They didn't integrate the new knowledge into their understanding of the world. This isn't restricted to religion, or even other "button-pressing" issues. It can really apply to anything, and is never restricted to one particular viewpoint or another.

Who's to blame for this? I'd say that everybody who ever influenced the world in such a way that reason wasn't seen as paramount, anybody who ever said that you can "think too much," and anybody who presented the subjects of knowledge as disjointed, unconnected disciplines. Most of the world is to blame for this most inhuman state of mind.

  5. Ultimately they believe in nothing, cause when you ask them what happens when you die, they say nothing.  hehehe

    Just My Thoughts!

  6. They all dont blieve in God, so yes, I think they "believe" the same thing- Believe in nothing.

    Whats that religion called? lol.

  7. I would say that the only thing that atheists have in common is disbelief in God or any other deity.

Beyond that, I don't think there is another consistently common doctrine.

  8. Not at all as it was those previous christians who discovered the truth of the big ban in the first place.

  9. No. But most, I would say. But I've also noticed that many atheists who claim to believe in evolution have no real interest in science.

  10. Generally speaking if the world wasn't created by a supernatural being then the only possible explinations are Evolution or eternal existence.  Since Eternal existence has been disproven then were left with evolution, and the going explination of evolution's begining is big bang.

It it, of course, a failure of logic to argue from the specific to the general, but that is how humans catagorise things.

  11. No... and there are some Christians who believe in the Big Bang and Evolution (certain aspects).  There are scientists who believe that there is a deity behind the Big Bang... no one can say that evolution doesn't exist.  We evolve all the time, just not the way Darwin theorized.

  12. Yes, some equate science to being an atheist.

It's pathetic of them to do so, as science and atheism are two different things and not all religions are stone age monstrosities spreading ignorance like peanut butter.

It's bad for both science and religion for them to make those assumptions.

    1. Science has brilliant people studying the universe and increasing human knowledge. Not all of them are atheists. Everyone, regardless of religion, should be open to scientific comprehension.

    2. If religion assumes that a god exists outside of time and space (implying no intervention in the universe), then there is no reason to deny science or how the universe works. If a religion is hostile to science then it might as well encourage backwards stone age forms of thinking. All religions become harmful to society if they stop people from learning new information.

  13. The ONLY thing that makes a person an Atheist is a lack of belief in a god or gods.  Some believe in evolution, some don't.  Some believe in the big bang, some don't.

  14. I - as a Christian - don't think all atheists believe in the big bang or evolution................the 'only' thing they all do believe is that God doesn't exist............(at least to them)................

    God Bless...................

  15. Yes.

  16. Some do yes, I am thinking this is what they are preached in Church. Religion lies heavily on the concept of 'the other', not just Christianity, almost all of them do. A common target, an enemy mind you. I think it is just a mass generilization to the masses who cannot make these types of decisions on their own.

  17. All I know is you don't believe in God!  And many are rude that is my assumption and opinion not facts!

But from what I see here the majority of the atheist are disrepectful and arrogant!

  18. i am a christian..and i believe that atheist share a common idea and that there is no God...i also think that atheist thinks that people with religions are people who cant stand on there own beacause we need God in everything that we are going to do...
