  1. No. I am a Christian, and I view it as another religious practice. I do not feel that non-Christian (or syncretic Christian) religious practices are "evil". A key component of my religious beliefs lie in respecting other people's right to believe as they wish.

  2. Yep. Check out these answers.

Edit: The lwa are seen as gods, not demons. Vodoun does not believe it worships demons; it believes it worships the intermediaries between a remote god and man. The lwa are supposed to possess only willing worshippers only at certain times and leave without harming the person.

Santeria is the same thing only with a heavier dose of ancestor worship. Again, not demons.

The "demons" thing is mostly the "possession" matching the Biblical standards of possession, except the voluntary part of it and the part where the person is not possessed for long or harmed. It also plays into Christianity's claim that the harm done to the African community was right and allows modern Christianity to comfortably overlook it.

  3. voo doo is evil if you take control over someone life to hurt or cast spells or do revenge and punishment i know of one story of man made into a zombi, what can be more evil?

however, primarily voodoo is known and taught to be good and some parts are of healing

its like a wicca belief and the craft of healing.

but at the same time there is too much animal bloodshed, spraying whisky and blowing smoke like a shaman. These things are completely un-needful.

animal sacrifice for the blood save the chicken or the goat for later and cook it for food, (its almost a con at the same time)

  4. Yes, because it has to deal with demons and that part of the spiritual realm.
