  1. It depends on what you mean by Clairvoyant, if by Clairvoyant you mean hyper sensitive, hyper aware, superior intuition, clarity of perception and thought...then yes.

  2. Some people claim they do, but since no one has ever demonstrated this ability in a controlled environment no one can say with any degree of certainty that they exist.

  3. Rare as rocking horse manure.

  4. Clairvoyance is not rare and is simply interpreted as "clear seeing". Not all clairvoyants use their ability in exactly the same way, nor does the ability manifest exactly the same for each person. My main ability is clairvoyance and I find visualization very easy. With some practice and guidance, I've been able to actually "see" and interact with my guides and other entities while in a light trance. There are others who can use it to see a person's aura and even make medical diagnoses because they can clearly see the problem, on a physical level. That type of clairvoyance is quite rare and the late Edgar Cayce was a pioneer in this field. He was able to go into a light trance and actually see a physical problem in a person's body and diagnose a cure, even on the other side of the world.

Aside from being able to access higher realms of consciousness, a modern day application for clairvoyance is known as remote viewing. Anybody who makes an uneducated claim that there are no lab experiments to confirm this ability has not done their homework. Remote viewers are not only used by the government but also in the private sector. A lot of geological companies consistently hire their services to "view" specific parcels of land to determine the  mineral content that is hidden under the surface. It is much more cost effective than sending an entire survey team to map and take samples from the area in question.

Remote viewing is simply a psychic process in which the viewer has access to information that they could not have any previous knowledge of. People like Uri Geller, Joe McMoneagle and Ed Danes have worked for the US government as actual psychic spies and have written numerous books on their own experiences. Mr. McMoneagle even made cryptic remarks in one of his books that the government has progressed beyond using simple passive methods to obtain info. He suggested that people who were highly adept at astral projection were now being used to affect changes on a physical level. His main concern was for the negative karma they were building up by their actions.

Many mediums also utilize clairvoyance when doing a reading for a client, and often in comjunction with a secondary ability like clairsentience (ability to feel and interpet energy around them) and claircognizance ("clear knowing" of something with no factual basis) or clairaudience ("clear hearing" and an ability to detect sounds that have no physical origin). Typically, a medium has to have some type of recognition passed to her to indicate who they are speaking to or channeling. In a clairvoyant application, clairsentience is also used to intially make that determination and then a visual will appear in their mind's eye. The difficulty, of course, is knowing exactly what entity they are dealing with so they work very closely with their guides in perfecting these recognition signals.

As an example...I work with oracle cards and my guides almost daily. When doing a reading, I use my doctor teacher guide almost exclusively. I know when she is around and ready to begin work by sending a very distinct tingle to the baby finger of my right hand. This is something that we both agreed on and ensures that if I'm not able to journey and "see" her, I always know it's her.

Additionally, clairvoyance is a needed ingredient when using specific types of communication with the spirit realm. The shamanic journey has been used by shamans worldwide for millenia to connect and interact with their spirit and animal guides by "journeying" to a location known as non-ordinary reality. I have used shamanic journeying for a number of years and having clairvoyant abilities was essential. Some ill-informed people claim it is nothing more than a mere trip inside our mind and they are correct to some extent. It differs from a normal guided visualization because of what you do while there and who you interact with.

Because spirits in general vibrate at a much higher frequency than us in the physical realm, it is rare that a person can actually see them with their physical sight but it does happen. Most often, we feel them more than anything but you're inquiring about clairvoyance...

The first link below gives you an example of some of the work done by a member of the Hawaii Remote Viewers Guild, who are considered to be the best in the business, even compared to their military counterparts. You'll agree when you see the results of how accurate they can really be when viewing a specific target. This is clairvoyance at work and believe it or not, most people have a natural ability to do this and you may want to try your hand at a few practice targets while you're there. I've included the link for their online test directly below it, which is complete with instructions on what to do.

The third link is to a site that will give you a bit of information on shamanic journeying, another skill that many people can do with minimal practice. Whle clairvoyance isn't absolutely necessary to do this, shaman intiates use this almost exclusively to meet with their spirit and animal guides.

Hope this has helped a bit.

  5. I cannot give you a simple answer. I have worked as a paranormal investigator for 11 years. During this time, I have had the opportunity to work with over a dozen psychics for months or even years. I have yet to find the "real-deal". I have met frauds. I have met people who simply believe they are psychic or sensitive, often being self deluded. Most regardless will claim they are not 100% accurate which I find interesting. When you can see and hear a ghost and they tell you their name, profession, and other aspects of their once-been life, should you not be 100% accurate?

However, despite my disappointments in who I have come across, I still believe clairvoyants can exist? Why? One of the main reasons I went into paranormal research is that I had a psychic experience of my own that was completely beyond the normal senses and verified by witnesses. It has never happened since, but it did happen. Thus, I know it is at least feasible for individuals.

  6. Let me put it this way, clairvoyance has never been proven in a scientific experiment, but it can have an effect on people because of the psychological aspects of the mystical "gaining" of information because of an external presence.

Like many things in life, if you believe in them, they do exist and they can have a positive effect, for you can "fix" psychological quandaries and it gives the participant the feeling of fulfillment.

So the answer to your question is, no, not to skeptics, but yes, for those who believe. After that, you can use them for whatever the human praticer says they can be used for, be it talk to dead people or gain information about stuff.

Hope that helped and good luck with whatever you are going to do.

  7. yes they do, but don't want the spotlight .

they very from person to person.

  8. Clairvoyants are like 1/10000 people. They have physic abilities where they are able to see/hear/or smell ghosts. Some of them have such a sensitive mind that they can read minds. I believe none of them can actually move spoons and stuff.
