Does this question belong in the science section or paranormal section? I just don't know. The word skeptic seems to belong in the paranormal section but then there is the word brain that would belong in the science section. so confusing.

  1. Is this another ad hominem that I am completely missing?  Once again I am confused with the goal of the comment.

  2. Perhaps bearded ones. I have seen smoked clams in the stores so, I would imagine they were addicted at one time.

  3. what does clams & their brains got to do with alternative science & paranirmal? for the love of God...

    (sorry)..

  4. I'm sorry you're so confused. It's nice to see you asking a question about something real(clams). The only thing I know about clams is they're easy to catch and Delicious.Sorry I couldn't have been more help.

  5. Curmudgeons. Sorry Dave, I missed your attempt at irony.

  6. Some,  are skeptic's,  but when I asked the rest...They wouldn't answer....."They just clammed up".......

  7. You'll find skeptics in R&S too....and maybe a few "clams" !! I'm glad to see that you've "come out of your shell" lol.

I just saw where one of your answers "disappeared". Did it get flagged? Why? I can't remember what you said...but didn't notice it being something for anyone to flag. Sorry. Hope it doesn't keep you from answering.

PS...You're  picture is scaring me. I hope that's not the real you.

  8. Clams are noble creatures that contribute to the eco system (and human diet) you do them a great disservice (beware the Clam Anti-Defamation League) by comparing them to skeptics (by which I'm guessing you mean YA debunkers) which make no such contributions to society at  large.

The word skeptic actually indicates that the question belongs in the philosophy section as science has self correcting mechanism and other established rules (peer review, replication, the scientific method, etc.) none of which debunkers actively engage in. This philosophy would also fit over in religion and mythology.

The word brain could belong in science or medicine (wow multiple possibilities) I see your dilemma. I guess you just have to choose where you want to attempt to have a decent question and answer session, good luck on that.

  9. No brain...can't think...therefore = Skeptic.

  10. I heard a Dr. on TV today , who said

    all living things have brains.

  11. I guess they have brains.

  12. I don't get it Dave. Yes, I get the cheap shot, but is there a larger purpose or was that it?

By the way, clams do not have a brain per se but multiple ganglia.

    EDIT: What a shellfish question...

  13. omg dave

    i cannt stop laughing

BTW i nearly went out and bought mugwort, thinking it would help me experience more while i slept...LOL
