Question:

Do Cops Check On Your Backround Right After You Talk To Them?

The Police knocked on my door due to a neighbor complaint for the music being too loud. When the cops also came, they even asked me many personal questions. For an example..."what's your name"? "are you in school"? I just briefly informed them that I was in the military and im currently a full time student, then they just left...politely telling me to lower my music. Are they going to do a backround check on me? or file some police report for a noise complaint? I have no prior knowledge in law enforcement, so I hope you guys can determine that.

  1. For your measly noise complaint, no.

  2. For loud noise, it is common to give a warning the first time. As long as the neighbors don't call again, you should be fine.

They will probably make an entry in the computer indicating you were warned, so the next officer will know if there is another complaint.
