Do Crickets Bite?????!!!!!? (please see detail box for more details)?

Question

ok, so, like 2 seconds ago there was a cricket on my bedroom window... i was going to get something to squash it with but when i came back it was gone. I'm super freaked out because i heard they can bite but only in self defense? Should i be worried it will bite me while im sleeping or crawl on my while im asleep?

also, i don't live in these places like New Zealend or Iraq. i live in the New England area. PLEASE HELP i cannot sleep. the window is like right over my bed. and i REALLY dont know if i should be worried.... HELPPP

i got bit  buy a cricket but i cut the d**n cricket in half and step on it but it dusent hurt anymore

Crickets will bite and chew on you to get a piece of your flesh. They are not poisonous. They do eat meat and your skin is no exception.
