  1. Yes, the cruise line charge a fare for infants.

    You can likely get the 3rd person rate for an infant staying in the same room as 2 adults.

    The only break they give you is they don't ask tips from guests under 2 but you have to go to the pursers desk and have the tips removed from your account.

    We traveled with our 18-month old niece on Carnival and we had to pay a fare for her.


  2. Yes, you will be charged both a fare and gratuties for the infant. If the baby is the 3rd passanger the charge is less for the fare but still full price for gratuties
