  1. Yep, region "hacks" do work. Don't buy your DVD player from Tescos go to a proper Electrical Store like Richer Sounds.

  2. Absolutely they do.

    Go here: http://www.videohelp.com/

    Select DVD Hacks

    Enter DVD model no.

    Wallla

  3. I own about 100 region 1 DVD's and about 250 region 2, as I moved from the States some time ago.  Thus my DVD player is hacked - as was my last one.  I have one disk that asks me to change the region to 1 (from region free) before it will play - small inconvenience.  If the people who developed the regions will replace my region 1 disks then I'll stop hacking my player.....

  4. Yes they do.but if you buy ANYTHING electrical from Tesco then if it goes wrong you get a lot of hassle trying to get it fixed/replaced/ or your money back because you have to phone their customer services whereas Asda will change or refund on the spot.

  5. Hi, most philips dvd palyers are easy to region free.  Your model is also simple.

    - Connect and turn on TV and DVD player

    - With no disc inserted, select ‘setup’ on the remote control

    - Enter these numbers *SLOWLY* on the remote control: 5, 0, 1, 8, 0

    - Press ‘OK’

    Hope this works.

    Hack complete.
