Do Dragonfish and Plecos mix?

As far as I knew, as an amature fish keeper, I thought Dragons and plecos were both peaceful fish, and would get along. But for some reason, My dragon and pleco are fighting like siblings. Mainly around feeding times. They've gotten along fine in the past, They've been together perfectly fine for the last two months. But this has only recently started (A few weeks ago) And Doesn't seem to be stopping. They just chase eachother around the tank and are actually quite violent. I think it might be my Dragonfish that's the hostile one. I've seen him go after Georgie (A small tadpole rescued from a shrinking puddle about 3 months ago - I had to take him out of the "Pond creature" Tank because he was getting picked on by the fish in that one too, so maybe it could just be he's an easy target -shrug-). He's quite a large dragon, and must be eating the shrimp I put in there, Because theyre disappearing very fast.

But back to my main point, What should I do with these two?

  1. just separate them

  2. Either separate them or place the food in opposite corners of the tank. You can also use a divider if only at feeding time.
