I know civil engineers tend to travel quite a bit but what about environmental engineers? Do they have to travel to job sites and move a lot?

Thanks!

  1. Depends on the function of the engineer.

Junior engineers are typically assigned to a project as a field engineer to verify equipment is in compliance with specifications, effluent from a plant is of acceptable quality, etc.

Senior engineers typically operate in a design capacity.  Senior engineers wil design processes and rely on the junior engineers to ensure everything is within spec.

Depending on the company, the travel can be very close to home or worldwide.

  2. yes they do.

  3. Only if they're as Ugly as you.
