Every time an umpire makes a mistake the announcers would blame the loss on that single thing. Especially the ESPN's K zone they use it to say what is a strike and not. Then they criticize umpire.

  1. lol tahts funny b/c they always lie on the k zone...so dont listen to fox or espn. they r commercial losers who dont kno baseball

  2. As long as the umpire is consistent and calling a pitch in a certain spot the same for both teams, its a non-issue. Plus the k-zone and stuff like that like don't take into account that most umps give a little bit extra off the plate as a strike.

  3. ESPN thinks they are Better then everybody else with their K-Zone

the FOX think their better with the "Burger King Hot Zone"

and they both criticize the umpire, thinking computers should take over as Umpires

  4. No i havent seen that nor herad that from fox or espn or nesn or tbs.

who cares nesn has s tirke zone as well. so does tbs/espn/fox.

  5. Talking heads are paid to make observations and generate interest in the game, so if taking potshots at players and/or umpires helps them accomplish those goals they'll do it.

I think that anyone who takes anything announcers on ESPN or Fox say seriously should have their heads examined. These guys are just giving their opinions and you either agree or disagree with them.

I find myself disagreeing most of the time because they're basically idiots.

  6. Well, the commentators got the technology to see things better than the umpires but I don't think they criticize them too much. If an umpire makes a bad call, it's important for an announcer to decide whether or not if the call was right.

  7. They might, but the umpire has a grueling job calling the baseball game.
