Ok, my grandfather is in bad health and was givin a new Esteban guitar by my uncle as something to do in his spare time. He has always wanted to learn and I went over to tune it for him, and I'm a novice myself and dont know much about classical guitar but I tuned it with my Korg chromatic tuner and it says its in tune but I played a few chords and it sounded horrible. Do the estaben guitars take a different tuning? Do the classical guitars just have an "off" sound? I'd really like to get this fixed for him. Thanks

  1. Hi Barz

Classic nylon guitar strings sound extremely horrible when they are old. If you change the strings, they will fall back to normal. The strings must be dead on it and practically untunable.
