  1. Possibly in the future, if technology makes Cellulosic Ethanol a Lot Cheaper to manufacture..

It is far too expensive at the moment  to be profitable.

  2. It is difficult to say at this point in time.

Certainly corn based ethanol has very little future other than to drive the world to starvation and also to drive up the price of diesel and gasoline and of course food since it requires about 1.10 gallons of those to produce one gallon of ethanol.  It is however making the farmers and fertilizer companies  jump for joy.  Farm states are of course Republican.  I guess they got their money's worth.

If Pacific Ethanol is any indication there is not much future.

  3. I think the long term use of ethanol will vanish.

    1.  About 25% of Ethanol is waisted (burned up) during the refining process: The most inefficient use energy there is.

    2. 80% of all corn is used NOT for human food consumption. It is used to raise cattle so people can eat meat.

    3. I think natural gas (nat gas) will have a better long term play. Honda will be selling nat gas vehicles in CA this year. Toyota will soon follow and prob dominate the industry.

    4. Nat gas is cheaper, and cleaner than ethanol.

  4. Ethanol use has a deadly future for the people of the world, as this burnt fuel puts deadly poisonous nitrate gas into the atmosphere with the capability of killing off our species.

  5. There is a company in quebec as far as i know, they are turning garbage into it...i think other places are too, possibly it could last long but think about pricing, invest in it now you got me thinking too!!!!!!!!!!!!!
