Do Fast Food night shift workers make more money?

I was wondering if they make more money than people who work during the day...

I want another part time job, and was thinking about working 20 hrs a week at a fast food place.. I know they will close the dining room, so I wouldn't have to deal with many people face to face.

  1. Night or day it all the same amount. You rather have your sleep.

  2. Nope, no difference

  3. Usually they don't, unless their employer gives them a shift differential, which in the fast food industry is almost unheard of (unless you work at a Sheetz or 7-11).

The give and take on it is that you have less customers at late-night, but be ready for the 2 a.m. rush (in Pennsylvania, that's what time the bars close, so whenever the bars close in your locale).   And be prepared to do a lot of cleaning, because once the dining room closes, that place had better be spotless when the doors open in the morning.

  4. if you work graveyard you make  more but if you work normal night hours you make regular wages

  5. No.  I worked at Carl's Jr. years ago on the graveyard shift.  I got the same pay as if I were working during the day.  But the bad thing about graveyard in fast food is the drunk and high people.  Everynight as soon as 10pm came every customer was either drunk or high. None of them could make a decision and a lot of them wanna talk like your old friends. Im so glad I got out.

    Good luck

  6. no.  they make the same thing as the day shift people.  Sometimes if it is slow.  you will get sent home, and actually lose some hrs

  7. maybe, only if you work at Taco Bell or Whataburger.

  8. when i was a manager at mcdonalds we paid them a dollar more an hour

  9. Possiblly in some places, but it couldn't be that much more.
