The Arroyo government would have been blown into smithereens and the political and economic landscape or conditions of the country would not have been what they are now experiencing, especially the poor.

Btw, I've returned to also offer my hand of reconciliation and peace to all my foes for us to start afresh in time for the coming Christmas season. I hope the gesture is duly noted and accepted without any preconditions.

  1. I have not regret by not supporting military coups and people power, for me who ever in the position there always a corruption, thats why they are fighting for the position

  2. well i do not really think so.. because until now, no one can pinpoint that ONE THING/PERSON that can be the excellent replacement for the president..

can u? i dont think so..

the president may be bad, but the military is not good either..

  3. Nope. The Philippines could have do so much worse than the arroyo government.

  4. You sound stupid!

  5. What happen to the law? do people have no respect to the law anymore? Do you find it fun. Do you have any idea  of the effect and reality of such event. How deep is the filipinos level of understanding? lack of good education perhaps. Who voted Arroyo over other candidates? Who place arroyo on the position. It's all about filipinos way of choosing life. it's just sad. Can't everbody noticed the pattern of the cycle not just about christmas. (What's new?) So filipinos move on thier lives for progression. Can't there be any typical filipino realized it's enough and start a change.

Rest of the world is improving. Philippines will always be back to ancient times type  of governance. Just a waste of time to live in. No wonder most of them go somewhere else.

There's nothing wrong with the president, it's the SYSTEM! anyone who put in position will always be tempted to do their own interest, it's human nature. Create a law to monitor who will try to beat the system for its always keep on changing. there will always be somebody who'll try. Filipinos just don't get it yet. Too lazy to educate themselves about their lives, all they do is entertain themselves with movies, tv, computers and window shopping and most of all eat then sleep. WAKE UP! You are humans, capable of evolving a faster pace than animals. THINK! be creative, something to make a difference.

  6. regret? are you stupid or just plain ignorant?

the last time i checked, people live day-to-day and are more concerned with matters of the present. who would have known before that the Arroyo government would come to this anyway? let me answer a dumb question with a dumb answer.

if you were old enough to remember what happened in 2001(which i doubt because you sound too juvenille), Arroyo didn't ask to be President... people wanted to oust Estrada for being a gambling crook. who knew 7 years ago that Arroyo will turn out be be a thief behind a lot of red tape?

there was no coup d'état you ********. those were just stunts by mid-level military officers that had "superhero" complex and idolized an epic failure in Honasan. that Magdalo group had the balls to rant the obvious with that Oakwood stunt but were dickless in their resolve when Ramos and Biazon scared the **** out of them. as for that Manila Penn stunt, it was funny that there were more cameramen than men with guns... only an *** like you would have supported that.

  7. This is only my humble opinion.   I really cannot speak for the whole Filipino people.

Because of the increasing prices of prime commodities, there could  also be a resulting increase in clamor for change, and as you say, misgivings on why they stayed their hand in past initiatives, e.g., the Manila Penn siege, the Marines standoff, etc.

And yet in the back of their minds,  the people could also be thinking that if hotbloods in the military took over, we could probably end up in a worst situation.

For myself,  I never regret for one second that I voted for Joseph Estrada.   He's my idol, you know.  And if these darned military had just come to our aid back in People Power Three,  my idol would still have been playing majong nightly in the palace, with his buddies Chavit Singson, etc.

And I could have approached him to introduce me to Luningning of Wowowee!!

  8. My answer is no.

First of all, there is no way to say what would happen to the country if GMA was ousted. Who knows who would have taken her place and what he or she could have done with the Philippines. Maybe it could have been better, or maybe it could have been a whole lot worse.

Second, much of the economic turbulence felt in the Philippines now is global in nature. Oil and food price increases are affecting everyone and inflation is hurting all of asia and not just the Philippines. Regardless of whoever is in power right now, this set of circumstances will remain the same.

I believe the upper and middle-class, despite the fact that they too are affected by the global crisis, still supports the arroyo government. It is the reason why GMA in able to remain in power to begin with: because she has the support of the upper and middle-class. These classes are knowledgeable and educated enough to understand what is going on on the macroeconomic level. They also want stability in government now, tired of protests and suffering from People power fatigue. And although GMA's term is riddled with anomalies and controversies, they also know that there is no better replacement for her coming from either the administration or the opposition.

It's sad because the Philippines is supposed to be blessed with excellent human resource, but in terms of leadership, GMA is the best that we have right now.

  9. The Manila Peninsula incident was a big scam.
