Do Finches make noices at night or do they sleep quietly? HELP!

I need to know quickly because I was planning on getting two tomorrow and my mom said that i cant get them if they make noises at night.

Birds instinctually will not make noise when it is dark. It is a survival instinct to keep quiet when visibility is limited. They will, however make noise almost as soon as the sun is up.

I used to have a male and female and they used to sing and peep back and forth to each other. The noise they make is not that loud(compared to other birds), but if your mom is opposed to noise, than a bird is not the right pet.
