  1. Turkey is neither a EU-State nor it belongs to the Schengen Agreement for granting free travel throughout Europe. Therefore every foreigner must have a passport, or even a visa to enter Turkey.

French citizens may stay for tourist purposes up to 90 days without a visa, but must have a passport to enter Turkey.

  2. the french...

    LOL.

  3. until such time as the EU lets them in (ie never - largely due to the long-standing opposition of the French government ), you will need your passport

  4. what a lot of rubbish people put on hear,,,

you will need your passport and on entry to the country you will have to pay for a visa that will be stuck in side your passport  and stamped with entry date and is valid for three months,,

on leaving the visa will be stamped again

you can use the same visa to re enter the country until it expires

  5. When a cousin of mine wanted to visit France, he had to apply for a visa, providing many documents to the french consulate, waiting weeks before the response...Not to mention that he had to prove his financial wealth, and showing an invitation letter that I wrote ( they even investigated about me, even if I live in France for years)...

You, you don't even need a visa...So now you ask about passport and french ID ?...Anyway, you ALWAYS need a passport for travels, just in case something would happen...The passport is the most important document that one needs when abroad...

You are very lucky for entering Turkey without even need of visa...

And that's not fair that reciprocity still doesn't exist concerning  this administrative question...

    Bon voyage !

  6. Of course, and you must also prove that you have no criminal record, and that you have at least a Harvard or Sorbonne degree in History and Maths, and also at least 3 millions Euros in a turkish bank...And also at least 1.75 m height, around 60kg weight and measurements 34C-22-34...

Is it ok for you ?

We have your number, don't call us, we will call you.
